Clinical Research Nurse C

The research nurse will conduct studies within the Pregnancy & Perinatal Research Center. With the support of the study team, the research nurse will carry out state of the art clinical trials and other research studies, including consenting, screening, and enrolling eligible subjects, managing the treatment of patients throughout their participation in the study including education about any adverse effects they might experience, provide oversight and coordination of research testing and follow-up.

The research nurse duties include but are not limited to management of research patient care, collection of medical and medication history, physical assessments, completion of patient visits according to protocol specifications, completion of source documents and case report forms (CRFs), reporting of non-serious and serious adverse events, maintenance of regulatory files, and preparation for monitoring visits and audits. The research nurse will be responsible for forming collaborations with clinical staff as well as other departments involved in the operations of studies.

The nurse should be able to provide input into the development of efficient workflows, attend any meetings related to the studies, contribute to internal strategies for meeting and exceeding trial enrollment and assure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards. The nurse will provide coverage and support to other research nurses and coordinators to meet departmental/organizational staffing needs.

• Works closely with the PI, and study team to manage and participate in recruitment, data collection, and data management.
• Obtains informed consent; answer participants' questions regarding risks and benefits of participation in clinical trials. Conduct study visits and follow-up as needed.
• Data collection and management. Ensures timely data entry and transmits data according to established procedures.
• Provide clinically related services per protocol, including vital signs, phlebotomy, and physical assessments.
• Participates in study team meetings, sponsor led group meetings, and ongoing protocol training/compliance meetings.
• Oversees start up activities for new studies, completes regulatory documentation for studies.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of experience along with Registered Nurse with Licensure in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania without restriction or limitation required. BSN preferred.
