ER Registered Nurse

Role Overview

The position involves performing primary nursing functions in the Emergency Room, including assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care.

• Provide age-specific and developmentally appropriate nursing care, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Accurately document patient information and clinical observations.
• Monitor and record physiological signs, symptoms, and behaviors.
• Follow physician orders and adjust interventions as needed.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform tests following regulations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Manage admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
• Assemble equipment for diagnostics and treatments, assisting with procedures.
• Participate in care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Perform quality assessment activities and attend meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure without sanctions.
• At least 2 years of full-time ER or comparable RN experience.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ENPC), TNCC preferred.
• Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
• For Pennsylvania candidates:
  Act 33 and Act 73 clearances or ability to obtain prior to start.
