The Director of Nursing Education is responsible for centralizing and standardizing nursing staff education across Allegheny Health Network. This role is ideal for experienced nursing educators who are passionate about developing high-performing educational teams.

• Establish an educational model/process for standardization of nursing education.
• Organize and implement a centralized nursing education department.
• Select, direct, evaluate, and recommend disciplinary action for staff.
• Plan and oversee initiatives to create a culture of professional excellence.
• Lead teams to drive cultural change incorporating systems thinking.
• Incorporate health information technology into nursing education.
• Create a certified centralized staff education team focused on shared decision making.
• Communicate effectively with interprofessional teams and organize meetings.

• Master's degree in Nursing required

• 5 years experience as a nurse educator required
• PhD preferred

• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through eNLC
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
