About This Role

The Registered Nurse in the Advanced Medical and Neuro unit provides comprehensive nursing care for telemetry and med-surg patients. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to patient-centered care and teamwork in a dynamic healthcare environment.

• Facility: Jefferson Hospital
• Schedule: Full-time

• Assess human responses and plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Provide leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Contribute to team success through role modeling and mentoring.
• Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels.
• Participate on interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care or health services.
• Promote patient safety initiatives and participate in quality initiatives.
• Utilize the nursing process to develop patient care plans.
• Analyze health status and determine patient care needs.
• Document changes in patient condition and notify appropriate personnel.
• Promote compassionate communication that is patient and family centered.

• Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) required.

• CPR certification required.
• Preferred certification in area of specialty.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
