Position Details

Role: Licensed Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant;
Status: Full-time;
Salary: Competitive and based on experience, skills, and credentials;
Schedule: 4-day work week with rotating Saturday shifts. No on-call shifts or holiday hours

What Our Veterinary Technicians & Assistants Do
  • Triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Provide compassionate nursing care from patient intake through discharge
  • Safely handle and restrain patients using low-stress techniques whenever possible
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
  • Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing, including CBCs, chemistry panels, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing
  • Prepare patients and equipment for surgical procedures
  • Monitor anesthesia and provide attentive care throughout recovery
  • Provide supportive patient care, including TPRs, pain scoring, and wound care
  • Educate clients about preventive care, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient records
  • Collaborate with doctors and teammates to keep the hospital running smoothly
  • Assist with client communication and front-desk needs when necessary
What Our Veterinary Technicians & Assistants Bring
  • Current Veterinary Technician credential preferred
  • Experienced Veterinary Assistants and non-credentialed Veterinary Technicians are also encouraged to apply
  • Previous hands-on experience in a veterinary hospital
  • Confidence with patient handling, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, and diagnostic imaging
  • Knowledge of preventive care, vaccines, pharmacology, and medication administration
