The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking a hardworking, outdoor-driven Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1 to help build, maintain, and enhance Pennsylvania's game lands and wildlife habitats. Int this role, you'll operate heavy equipment, construct and repair infrastructure, manage habitat projects, assist with prescribed fires, and work across forests, fields, and rugged terrain to support healthy ecosystems and public access. This position focuses on maintaining and improving game land structures and habitats. It requires hands-on work that keeps outdoor areas safe, accessible, and welcoming for wildlife and visitors. This is an outdoor focused position for individuals who enjoy meaningful work that supports conservation and recreation across the Commonwealth. As a Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Infrastructure Work:Maintain and repair bridges, roads, parking areas, gates, signs, and public ranges
- Field Tasks:Assist with mowing and basic habitat management activities
- Outdoor Support:Carry out physical tasks that help keep game lands safe and accessible

Collaboration:
Work closely with field staff to complete daily maintenance needs - Conservation Effort:Support projects that improve wildlife-friendly environments
- Full-time employment, 40 hours/week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS).

- One year of laboring experience using construction tools and equipment;
or - One year of farming experience using agricultural tools and equipment;
or - One year of construction equipment operation experience;
or - An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
- This position requires the selected candidate to obtain an active Class A Commercial Driver’s License within one year of employment in this job.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
