Overview

Hickory Pet Inn is a busy, full service, dog and cat boarding facility located in Plymouth Meeting, PA. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate full-time Kennel Care Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. As a Kennel Care Technician, you will ensure that all pets receive the attention, cleanliness, and care they deserve while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for both animals and their owners.

Schedule

and Pay:
  • -Four 10 hour days. Days of the week will vary but will include one weekend day
  • -Starting at $14
Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising dogs and caring for cats.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other animal housing facilities.
  • Monitor the health and behavior of animals
  • Ensure proper handling of all animals to maintain safety for both staff and pets.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals’ needs and behaviors.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required for animal handling and cleaning tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide excellent customer service and support.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in animal handling or in a kennel environment is a must!
  • Customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners.
  • Knowledge of basic animal care practices.
  • Ability to handle dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments safely.
  • Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and/or stand for extended periods.
  • A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.
  • Ability to communicate and work with other team members.
