Our modern facility features:

• 5 exam rooms
• Large surgical suite
• Ultrasound
• Digital X-ray
• Idexx lab machines
• 10 person support team (and growing)

Bellefonte offers fun group activities like bowling, exploring downtown shops and restaurants, and relaxing at Talleyrand Park. For outdoor adventures, students can hike or bike local trails, visit Bald Eagle State Park, or explore nearby Mount Nittany. State College is only about 20 minutes away and offers Penn State activities, live music, nightlife, escape rooms, and seasonal activities at Tussey Mountain.

As an extern, you’ll learn alongside experienced veterinarians and technicians while gaining exposure to:

• Wellness and preventive care
• Surgery and anesthesia
• Dentistry
• Diagnostics and laboratory services
• Urgent care and medical cases
• Client communication and patient care

• Currently enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary school

* Certain graded externships may not be eligible for payment, based on the requirements of the student’s veterinary school curriculum.
