Location:
Ascella Health, Berwyn, PA – Hybrid (three days per week in office after initial four‑week training period). Initial training requires 5 days per week (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) Monday through Friday in office. Subsequent schedule is hybrid: three days per week in office, remaining days remote.
Fulfillment Specialist will serve as a vital patient advocate, guiding patients through obtaining specialized pharmaceuticals not available through chain pharmacies. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate referrals, entering data, assessing requests, and performing necessary follow‑ups.
- Provide efficient pharmacy hub services linking prescriptions with the pharmacies best able to fulfill the patient's specialized needs for the lowest possible price.
- Utilize established pharmacy/clinical guidelines for decision‑making.
- Make and receive occasional inbound/outbound calls.
- Generate any necessary or requested data and reports.
- Work within the Operations department and across different departments to obtain required information.
- Maintain a balance of productivity, quality, and timeliness to ensure everything gets accomplished.
- Create and support an environment that fosters teamwork, cooperation, respect, and diversity.
- Accurate and timely data entry of prior authorization requests within the prior authorization system is required to meet all client‑specific and/or contract requirements.
- Receive prior authorization requests telephonically while utilizing multiple systems to confirm accuracy of the information being provided.
- Apply established pharmacy/clinical guidelines in decision‑making.
- Establish and maintain a positive communication and professional demeanor with internal and external business partners.
- Analyze, adapt, and create resolutions to problematic situations.
- Represent Ascella Health in a manner that conveys professionalism, confidentiality, courtesy, fairness, personal integrity, and respect for others.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or necessary; remain flexible and adaptable in work schedules and duties.
- Patient advocacy – bridge between patient and medication, managing referrals with care and urgency.
- Operational excellence – accurate prior authorization processing and adherence to clinical guidelines.
- Cross‑functional collaboration – build relationships with internal teams, pharmacies, prescribers, and payers to provide a seamless experience.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician.
- Knowledge of specialty and non‑specialty pharmaceuticals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate with all levels within an organization, with clients, and customers.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing processes and procedures.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least one year of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician.
