Job Summary
As an Associate Analytical Technician in Croydon, PA, you support manufacturing operations by conducting laboratory analyses, preparing samples, performing preventive maintenance on instrumentation, and reporting results to the client.
Responsibilities- Train to perform routine analyses under the direction of a senior team member until proficiency is demonstrated.
- Collect samples according to the Sample Plan.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance of analytical systems.
- Evaluate the validity of data for routine analyses and take appropriate action.
- Monitor analytical systems and report findings and issues as appropriate.
- Document, communicate, and archive analytical results and data.
- Follow Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and the Operating Discipline Management System (ODMS) procedures for work tasks.
- Suggest improvements to laboratory work processes and tools.
- Escalate non‑routine requests to the appropriate team member for follow‑up.
- Perform laboratory housekeeping such as restocking inventory and cleaning.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required by a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule.
- Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship is available.
- Associate’s Degree or higher in a science‑related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working with analytical laboratory equipment.
- Laboratory Techniques:
Basic knowledge of gravimetric, volumetric, and temperature measurements. - Computer
Skills:
Experience with Outlook, Excel, SAP, Sample Manager, Operations Database (OPD), and Management of Change (MOC). - Troubleshooting:
Ability to diagnose and resolve unplanned equipment issues. - Organizational
Skills:
Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities. - Multitasking:
Capable of completing multiple tasks and seeing them through to completion. - Collaboration:
Excellent communication with peers and team members. - Attention to Detail:
Follow written and oral instructions closely.
- Wear safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel‑toed shoes.
- Stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Lift up to 20 pounds.
