Job Description
SUMMARY:
SP Industries, Inc is looking for a Regional HSE Specialist that can successfully build safety programs in two locations:
Warminster, PA & Gardiner, NY. This person must be able to demonstrate working through multiple leadership teams to accomplish goals and drive safety improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Establish and support regional HSE programs
* Serve as core member of Site Leadership Teams
* Manage all HSE Events, Near Misses, and Hazard Identifications in Velocity
* Facilitate/assist in HSE Event Investigations & Root Cause Analysis
* Coordinate successful completion of internal audit action items
* Identify, evaluate, and assist in correcting workplace hazards
* Manage PPE program for each facility
* Facilitate productive JHSC meetings, engaging the team in safety processes
* Provide guidance and assistance in risk assessments of work processes
* Provide instructor led-training to all necessary employees
* Drive completion of annual HSE plan for facility
* Assist in problem solving using ABM tools
EXPERIENCE /
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
* Proven success in multi-facility role dealing with multiple site leadership teams.
* Ability to travel ~33%
* Experience with managing incidents and conducting root cause analysis to determine proper corrective actions
* Experience in a lean systems environment preferred
* Experience with Human & Organization Performance preferred
* Must be able to successfully navigate digital environment
EDUCATION:
* Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or Business, plus 3 years of HSE experience working in a manufacturing environment.
* CSP, ASP, or other accreditation preferred but not required

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are typical of those an employee might encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
* Work is normally performed in both the office and the shop.
* The office environment is an interior office with air conditioning.
* The shop contains mobile equipment, machinery, and high voltages.
* The shop noise level is variable and may require hearing protection in some areas.
* The shop is heated when required but many areas are not air conditioned.
* Some shop processes use high voltage arcs or concentrated magnetic fields.
* The shop contains open flames and caustic chemicals.
* Some areas of the shop may be designated as hard hat zones.
Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000
HSE
Non-Management:
All employees have the responsibility to work in a safe manner and report any health, safety or environmental concern to their manager or supervisor in a timely manner.
Employee responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environment include:
* Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures
* Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods
* Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts
* Report defect in any equipment or protective device
* Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
* Attend all required health, safety and environmental training
* Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
* Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
* Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
Managers:
All managers are responsible for creating a positive safety culture and maintaining a saf
and healthy workplace. It is the responsibility of each manager to ensure that employees.

manager is also accountable to ensure that HSE matters are addressed in a timely manner.
