Job OverviewThe facility in Landisville, PA, is an ITAR site.
We are seeking a forward-thinking, collaborative quality manager to lead the quality function at our manufacturing plant. This critical leadership role ensures that all products meet customers, industry, and regulatory standards while driving a culture of quality excellence. The quality manager will develop and implement strategic quality initiatives, oversee audits, and lead a team of quality engineers and analysts to optimize manufacturing processes and minimize defects.
This is a hands‑on leadership role that requires close collaboration with production, engineering, and global quality teams to ensure plant-wide quality improvements.
- Lead and develop the quality team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across all departments.
- Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and global quality to ensure product quality, process capability, and regulatory compliance
- Champion and uphold plant-wide quality standards, policies, and systems, ensuring alignment with corporate and customer requirements
- Develop initiatives to improve the quality of subject‑matter expertise across cross‑functional teams and enhance the culture of quality.
- Monitor and report on key quality performance indicators (e.g., customer complaints, internal defects), providing insights and recommendations to plant leadership.
- Manage audits (internal, external) and support audit readiness across the facility.
- Oversee plant‑wide quality improvement initiatives, reducing defects and scrap, to reduce the cost of poor quality and improve process control and product reliability.
- Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement to address recurring quality issues.
- Mentor and coach quality team members and foster a high‑performance culture.
- Travel, as needed, to support both internal and external customer needs
- Investigating and addressing instances and trends of non‑conformances; designing and developing related quality metrics.
- Supporting the development of quality assurance strategies, processes, guidelines, and product control plans.
- Monitoring quality control systems' performance to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and conformance to established quality standards.
- Analyzing quality metrics, providing action plans based on the analysis, supporting the function, and driving performance improvements.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, or a technical field is a plus, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 6 years' Quality experience within a manufacturing environment
- Advanced problem‑solving tools such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Shainin Red X Journeyman a plus
- Preferably experience in Advanced Industries (Aerospace, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of ISO
9001, AS9100 and regulatory compliance - Thorough knowledge of problem‑solving and corrective action implementation.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- At least 3 years in a leadership role managing quality teams
- Strong team formation and leadership skills with a passion to develop succession leadership in their team.
- Good computer skills with a working knowledge of SAP, Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Expertise in lean manufacturing and advanced quality methodologies
- Strong problem‑solving skills with experience in 8D problem solving, FMEA, DOE, SPC, and safe launch
- Proficiency in quality data analysis tools (i.e. Minitab or similar)
SET :
Strategy, Execution, Talent (for managers)
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $103,200 - $154,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
