This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence supplier quality performance, and work on projects that drive operational excellence. Key qualifications for this opportunity include:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing setting
- Proven knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, CAPA, and PCAPA processes
- Background working in the automotive industry
- Strong understanding of measurement tools such as calipers, and proficiency with measurement programs for equipment like Keyence or Nikon
- Familiarity with monitoring supplier quality metrics, conducting supplier audits, and managing quality documentation
- Education:
2-year technical degree (4-year degree preferred)
- Overseeing supplier quality performance via scorecards and regular communication
- Managing corrective actions (CARs, SCARs) and ensuring timely resolution of quality issues
- Participating in new product development meetings, providing quality input at early stages
- Conducting supplier audits and supporting supplier quality management systems
- Developing and updating work instructions and visual aids to promote clear, standardized procedures
- Performing first article inspections and documenting findings for customer review
- Collecting, analyzing, and tracking quality data to identify trends and root causes
- Leading small project teams to implement corrective and preventive actions
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within production and quality processes
- Traveling up to 5% for customer visits, training, or site audits
