About the RoleLindy Paving is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support testing and quality control of asphalt binders and asphalt emulsions. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with laboratory or materials testing experience who enjoys hands-on work and follows standardized testing procedures.
Key Responsibilities- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred)
- Experience with asphalt binder and/or emulsion testing preferred
- Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT test methods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to work with heated materials and lift testing samples
- Materials testing or construction materials laboratory experience
- Knowledge of PG binder testing, viscosity testing, and emulsion testing
- Experience working in a quality-controlled laboratory environment
- Valid driver's license
- Laboratory setting with exposure to heated asphalt materials
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) required
- Standing, lifting, and physical activity as part of daily work
