** Position Summary*
* Company is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee all quality assurance and quality control activities associated with shop fabrication and field construction operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for administration of the company's quality management systems, welding qualification program, inspection activities, code compliance programs, quality documentation, and customer turnover packages. This individual will work closely with project management, engineering, fabrication personnel, customers, Authorized Inspectors, and third-party inspection agencies to ensure compliance with applicable codes, specifications, and customer requirements.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining the company's ASME and National Board certifications while supporting quality activities across ASME pressure vessels, API storage tanks, AWWA tanks, and related fabrication and field construction projects.
** Responsibilities*
* ** Quality Management*
* + Administer and maintain the company's quality management systems and procedures.
+ Manage quality assurance and quality control activities for fabrication and field erection projects.
+ Review project specifications, drawings, and customer requirements for quality compliance.
+ Lead internal audits and support external audits.
+ Manage nonconformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and quality-related investigations.
+ Coordinate with project managers, engineering personnel, customers, and fabrication staff to resolve quality-related issues.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, fabrication processes, and documentation.
** Code Compliance and Certification Programs*
* + Maintain compliance with ASME, National Board, AWS, API, AWWA, and customer-specific requirements.
+ Serve as primary liaison with Authorized Inspectors (AI), Repair Inspectors, customers, and third-party inspection agencies.
+ Coordinate code inspections, certification activities, and audit preparation.
+ Maintain National Board registrations and certification records.
+ Support ASME certificate renewals, joint reviews, and audits.
+ Provide guidance regarding code interpretation and quality compliance requirements.
** Welding Program Administration*
* + Maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
+ Maintain Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
+ Maintain Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) records and continuity logs.
+ Coordinate welder qualification testing and documentation.
+ Support welding code compliance and welding quality activities.
** Inspection, Testing, and NDE*
* + Develop and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
+ Coordinate nondestructive examination (NDE) activities including RT, UT, MT, PT, and VT.
+ Review and maintain NDE reports and supporting documentation.
+ Coordinate hydrostatic and pneumatic testing activities.
+ Coordinate third-party inspections as required.
+ Verify compliance with project inspection and testing requirements.
** Material Control and Documentation*
* + Review Material Test Reports (MTRs) and quality documentation for compliance with project and code requirements.
+ Ensure proper material traceability throughout fabrication and field activities.
+ Review and maintain Manufacturing Data Reports (MDRs), turnover packages, and quality records.
+ Maintain quality records in accordance with company and code requirements.
** Calibration and Quality Equipment*
* + Maintain the company's calibration program for inspection, testing, and measuring equipment.
