Quality Technician

This role offers an opportunity to join a growing quality department within a medical device manufacturing environment. As a Quality Technician, you will perform hands-on inspection, sorting, sampling, and rework activities to ensure that only conforming products move forward in the process or reach customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support production and quality initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on product quality, safety, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection activities, including sorting, sampling, and rework of defective or suspect products to ensure they meet established quality standards.
• Ensure only conforming products are released to the next stage of processing or to customers by following defined quality control procedures.
• Work cross-functionally with production and other teams to support quality initiatives and resolve product quality issues.
• Document inspection results and quality findings in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Identify nonconforming products and assist in implementing corrective actions or rework activities.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience or training in inspection, quality control, or quality inspection within a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Ability to perform sorting, sampling, and rework of defective or suspect products accurately and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to ensure only conforming products are released to the next stage of processing or to customers.
• Capability to work cross-functionally with production and other teams to support quality initiatives.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Open to new graduates with a laboratory experience who are interested in starting a career in quality within a medical device environment.
• Prior experience in a similar role or industry, particularly in medical device or regulated manufacturing, is beneficial.
• Experience working in a lab setting, including handling samples and following documented procedures.
• Comfort working with structured quality systems and standard operating procedures.

Work Environment

This position is based in a medical device manufacturing facility, where you will work on-site with production and quality teams. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for a 40-hour workweek, with overtime available based on performance and business needs. You will work in a regulated environment that follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP), with established procedures and quality standards.

The setting involves hands-on work with products and inspection activities, requiring adherence to safety protocols and facility guidelines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leetsdale, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
