Product Testing Technician
Full-Time | Day Shift | On-site | $21-$24 per hour
Position SummaryMed Comp is seeking a detail-oriented Product Testing Technician to support the testing and inspection of medical devices and components. This role is responsible for performing product testing, documenting results, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate enjoys hands‑on technical work, follows procedures with precision, and takes pride in producing accurate and reliable test results. They are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a regulated environment where quality and documentation are critical. Success in this role requires a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
WhatYou'll Do
- Perform mechanical, functional, dimensional, and performance testing of medical devices and components.
- Set up and operate laboratory testing equipment and fixtures.
- Accurately record and maintain test data and documentation.
- Identify, document, and report testing anomalies, failures, or nonconformances.
- Support equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP), cGMP requirements, and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
- Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to support testing and verification activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Technical certificate, associate degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 0-2 years of experience in laboratory testing, quality inspection, manufacturing, or other technical environments preferred; training provided for qualified candidates.
- Ability to read, write and understand English. Able to follow specifications, procedures, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic math, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing or medical device environment is a plus.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles preferred.
- Ability to walk up and down multiple steps, stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time, and perform testing activities throughout the workday.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform detailed visual inspections and testing tasks.
