Quality Control Technician - Paper Center of Excellence

Shift Availability: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
Pay starting at $21.07 per hour, with an additional $2/hour shift premium for overnight shifts. Earn up to $4,000 in retention bonuses after your first year. As a Quality Technician (Level I or II), you'll support the Quality team in ensuring all raw materials and finished products meet company and regulatory standards. Depending on your experience level, your responsibilities will grow from routine inspection to more advanced analysis and problem-solving. You will:
- Perform inspections and quality testing on materials and finished products
- Record, review, and maintain accurate quality data and documentation
- Support audits, compliance activities, and corrective action processes
- Use data to identify trends and help drive continuous improvement
- Conduct or support root cause analysis and recommend solutions (Level II focus)
- Work closely with production and cross-functional teams to maintain quality standards
We are looking for individuals who are committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Candidates may qualify for either Level I or Level II based on experience or education. You should have:
- Level I:
At least 6 months of inspection or quality-check experience, or 12 credit hours in Quality Technology or a related field from an accredited institution - Level II:
At least 1 year of inspection or quality-check experience, or High school diploma plus 12 credit hours in Quality Technology or a related field - Stronger understanding of quality systems, data analysis, and problem-solving
- Additional qualifications (both levels):
Strong attention to detail and visual inspection skills - Basic computer skills, including data entry and reporting
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Familiarity with GMP, safety standards, and manufacturing environments
- Level II preferred: knowledge of SPC, root cause analysis, and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
