Quality Engineer

About the role:

As a Quality Engineer, you will develop and maintain quality programs, inspection methods, and testing processes to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements. You will report to the Senior Quality Manager and be located at Blairsville, PA. You will support this role 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve product and process quality issues, including nonconformance disposition, quality records management, and certification document review.
  • Review engineering and manufacturing documentation for compliance with applicable quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Support inspection, nondestructive examination (NDE), laboratory testing, and calibration programs to ensure product conformity.
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, prepare reports, and support certifications, assessments, and management reviews.
  • Support corrective action activities, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Conduct quality assessments, audits, and process oversight activities; identify risks and guide corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver quality training, communicate quality system requirements, and provide technical guidance to personnel.
  • Communicate with customers, regulators, and auditors during audits, inspections, and surveillance activities.
  • Promote a culture of quality, compliance, nuclear safety, and continuous improvement while providing independent quality oversight.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, quality engineering, or a regulated industrial environment. Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and applicable industry standards, including ISO 9001; familiarity with nuclear quality requirements such as 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and ASME NQA-1 Demonstrated experience in quality engineering methodologies, manufacturing process improvement, statistical analysis, auditing, root cause analysis, and corrective action program management.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
