Shift & ScheduleRotating 12‑hour shifts
Schedule Pattern- 3 Days: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM – 1 Day Off – 3 Nights: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM – 7 Days Off
- Then rotates: 4 Days: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM – 1 Day Off – 3 Nights: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Provides basic technical support to Lead Scientists and Technologist Leaders in the preparation and execution of experimental activities and studies.
- Uses existing procedures to provide technical support for product development, application development, technical service, and product or process research.
- Completes well‑defined activities following standard operating procedures to develop the technical skills required for routine tasks.
- Understands how assigned tasks relate to other jobs and exchanges information in routine situations within the workgroup.
- Uses existing procedures to resolve straightforward problems with limited opportunities to modify procedures or work processes.
- Accountable for managing assigned tasks and the accuracy of own work, receiving close to moderate supervision and guidance.
- Works as part of a laboratory team supporting chemists and engineers in developing, screening, and commercializing new products and processes.
- Manages and safely executes laboratory work requests, maintaining and running equipment and documenting data.
- Accurately records readings and observations using relevant instruments, understanding how duties integrate with others in the team.
- Responsible for calibration, safe operation, and routine maintenance of simple and moderately complex instruments or machinery; troubleshoots faulty equipment and initiates repairs as appropriate.
- Maintains inventories of consumable materials, chemicals, and supplies, anticipating usage rates, order lead times, and purchasing procedures.
- Communicates issues promptly to Technology Leader or lead scientists to enable or accelerate problem resolution.
- Participates actively in team meetings to address safety, process improvement, problem solving, and other functional topics.
- High School diploma (or equivalent) and 3 years of laboratory experience required.
- Associate’s degree with emphasis in Chemistry, Biology, or a related technology area plus relevant work experience preferred.
- Perform basic laboratory analyses.
- Sample preparation and analysis, including weighing, drying, use of analytical balances, ovens, and preparation techniques.
- Operate basic lab equipment such as pH meters and turbidity meters.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods; minimal computer work (email, basic systems).
- Prior laboratory or technician experience strongly preferred.
- Comfortable with basic lab tools and equipment.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Basic computer skills required (email, simple data entry).
- Required attire: long sleeves, long pants, closed‑toe shoes; steel‑toe shoes required when entering warehouse areas.
- Client provides hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves.
