Researcher Position in Groh Laboratory
A short-term, part-time researcher in the Groh Laboratory at Penn State will assist with field and laboratory activities supporting a silvopasture research study focused on soil and water quality. Responsibilities will include collecting, processing, and analyzing soil and water samples; maintaining accurate records of sample handling and data collection; preparing samples for laboratory analysis; and assisting with quality assurance and quality control procedures.
The researcher will support ongoing investigations of how integrated tree-livestock grazing systems influence soil health, nutrient dynamics, water quality, and watershed processes. This position provides hands-on experience in environmental and agricultural research while contributing to interdisciplinary efforts to advance sustainable land management practices.
