Location: Abington
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in a fast-paced, integrated, multidisciplinary team with open communication.
- Develop, optimize, and implement immunoassays for vaccine target antigens (ELISA and electrochemiluminescent/ECL assays).
- Evaluate preclinical immune sera in functional antibody assays (OPA/OPK and serum bactericidal assays/SBA).
- Contribute to mouse vaccine immunogenicity and bacterial challenge studies.
- Perform hands-on work in a BSL-2 lab, maintaining safety, documentation, and data integrity.
- Prepare technical documents, data summaries, and presentations for internal discussions and regulatory support.
- Education:
MS with 1+ year related experience, or BS/BA with 3+ years related experience in Microbiology/Bacteriology/Immunology or closely related field.
- Scientific/technical leadership; adaptability.
- Collaboration in multidisciplinary environments.
- Immunoassays and functional antibody assays.
- Bacterial and cell culture.
- Hands-on in vivo mouse models.
- Hands-on BSL-2 lab experience.
- Excellent verbal/written communication.
- Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) and Graph Pad Prism.
- Bacterial vaccine research; pharma/biotech industry experience.
- ELISA and ECL assays; functional antibody assays (OPA/OPK, SBA).
- Mouse vaccine immunogenicity/challenge study experience.
- Automated liquid handling systems.
