Research Associate, Research Assistant​/Associate, Biotech Research

Job Title: Research Associate, Research Discovery
Location: Philadelphia, PA – Onsite, 5 Days/Week
Pay Rate: $33.85/hour
Duration: 6 Months

• Perform hands‑on in vivo discovery laboratory experiments involving targeted vectors for cell reprogramming and cancer research.
• Execute routine molecular biology and biological assays using established protocols and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Perform experimental data collection, organization, analysis, and visualization using Excel, Graph Pad Prism, and related tools.
• Maintain detailed electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN), experimental records, data logs, and documentation in Benchling.
• Troubleshoot basic experimental and technical issues and make minor protocol adjustments under scientific guidance.
• Learn and apply new laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and experimental procedures as required.
• Maintain laboratory safety and quality standards and support accurate, reproducible data generation.
• Occasional weekend work may be required.

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related Life Sciences field.

• 0–2 years of hands‑on laboratory research experience, including academic, industry, internship, or co‑op experience.
• Molecular biology laboratory techniques.
• Basic biological laboratory techniques and assay execution.
• Experimental data analysis and visualization using Excel and Graph Pad Prism

• Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and laboratory safety procedures.

• Bacterial culture and bacterial transformation.
• Plasmid cloning, amplification, and analysis.
• Experience with in vivo discovery research or targeted vector development.
• Experience working with laboratory instrumentation and learning new experimental techniques.
• Biotechnology or pharmaceutical research laboratory experience.
• PowerPoint for preparation of technical research summaries and presentations.
