Food Service Specialist

Join our team as a Food Service Specialist at our Corporate Office. This part-time position is scheduled for 3 days per week, with the opportunity to work up to 5 days per week as needed for coverage support. Typical work hours are 8:00 AM to 1:15 PM, offering a consistent daytime schedule and a great work-life balance.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing the cafeteria area.
• Assist with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes.
• Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation.
• Support the kitchen staff in setting up and cleaning cooking equipment, utensils, and workstations.
• Work with coworkers to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
• Adhere to all kitchen policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
• Assist in receiving and storing food supplies, ensuring proper rotation and storage practices.
• Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or supervisor.

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects when necessary.
