Acosta is currently seeking motivated and career‑minded candidates to join its national network of retail merchandisers. The Merchandiser Mandate Retail Service role involves working in teams to perform reset and remodel work, including reading and implementing plan‑o‑grams, new item placement, void corrections, and special merchandising activities. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter, quick learner, detail oriented, organized, and works well in a team.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with business partners are essential.
- Read and follow plan‑o‑grams to accurately complete reset and remodel projects.
- Move and clean shelves, install racks and fixtures, display merchandise properly, and place shelf strips, tags, and date codes.
- Partner with store personnel and co‑workers to achieve merchandising excellence and maintain strong relationships.
- Report observations and issues to the Mandate Senior Area Manager or Mandate Area Manager.
- Use web‑based applications to manage work schedules, accept assignments, access documentation, record start/completion times, track mileage and expenses, and complete training activities.
- Prepare, process, submit, and manage documentation related to reset and remodel work accurately and efficiently.
- Follow safety procedures, maintain situational awareness, and proactively alert management to unsafe acts or conditions.
- Self‑starter and quick learner with strong attention to detail.
- Effective team player who builds positive relationships with store personnel and co‑workers.
- Clear and professional communicator with business partners and management.
- Adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple store locations.
- Minimum 1‑year experience reading and using plan‑o‑grams; retail and reset experience preferred.
- Professional appearance.
- Access to a computer with internet, email, and printing capabilities.
- Comfortable using technology, including smartphones and handheld devices.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision‑making, and leadership skills.
- Ability or willingness to operate basic hand tools and equipment (hammer, screwdriver, drill, case cutter).
- Ability to safely climb and stand on a step stool or ladder as needed.
