Valley Forge Promotions is seeking a creative, organized, and trend‑savvy Retail Buyer / Merchandising Manger to oversee purchasing, merchandising, and retail presentation across our three entertainment venue gift shops. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining retail buying, visual merchandising, branding, and product development in a fun, family‑oriented environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing merchandise, developing branded product lines, maintaining attractive retail displays, managing inventory levels, and maximizing sales across multiple locations.
Responsibilities- Purchase and manage merchandise for the American Treasure Tour Museum Gift Shop
, including branded souvenirs, collectibles, gifts, toys, books, apparel, and specialty items. - Develop, design, source, and purchase merchandise for Arnold's Family Fun Center
, including branded apparel, novelty items, prizes, gifts, toys, seasonal products, and custom logo merchandise. - Support merchandise buying and retail display for the Oaks Center Cinema
, including movie‑themed merchandise, concessions‑related retail items, collectibles, and promotional products. - Research retail trends and introduce new products that appeal to families, tourists, and entertainment guests.
- Work with vendors to negotiate pricing, product selection, and delivery schedules.
- Develop and coordinate custom branded merchandise with graphic designers and suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and sales performance to optimize product selection and replenishment.
- Create engaging visual merchandise displays that enhance the guest experience and encourage sales.
- Plan seasonal merchandise programs and holiday promotions.
- Analyze sales reports to identify best‑selling products and improve inventory performance.
- Maintain product pricing, labeling, and retail presentation standards.
- Collaborate with management on promotional campaigns, special events, and new product launches.
- 2+ years of experience in retail buying, merchandising, gift shop management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of retail trends, product sourcing, and inventory management.
- Experience developing branded merchandise is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Creative eye for visual merchandising and retail presentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Self‑motivated with strong attention to detail.
