Spring Grove, PA 17362 - $10.00 - $10.00 / hour - part time
Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for applicants that can work at least 2 day shifts, which typically range between 9am to 5pm. Additional shifts, including some closing shifts (3p-8p) may be included.
The Seafood Clerk is responsible to perform duties as directed by the Seafood Manager, Store Management, and Administrative Management for the successful operation of the Seafood Department. The Seafood Clerk is responsible to see that all Kennie’s customers are provided with top quality products and the best customer service available.
Responsibilities- Achieve goals set for the department in sales and gross profit.
- Responsible for the quality and freshness of product with proper rotation and temperature maintenance.
- Stocking, display, and rotation of the seafood in the selling area, ensuring seasonal items, sale items, and demand items are properly displayed and visually appealing to the customer.
- Work with the Store Manager and Seafood Specialist regarding merchandising, planning, scheduling, sales trends, potential problems, and potential improvements.
- Maintain sanitation standards as established by the Company and by State and Federal regulations.
- Responsible for proper and preventative maintenance of all company equipment in the department.
- Obey all safety standards as outlined by the company.
- Cooperate with other departments when inter‑department or store‑wide sales promotions take place.
- Perform other appropriate duties as directed by the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
- Education/
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and two to four years related experience and/or training. - Language
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions for equipment, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers and employees. - Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages. - Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
