Lead Cashier, Retail

As Head Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you lead front-end operations, ensuring fast, friendly, and accurate checkout experiences. You oversee and coach cashiers, model outstanding customer service, and resolve guest issues with care. You manage cash handling, drawer reconciliations, and safe drops while supporting opening and closing procedures. Partnering with Retail Operations leadership, you help schedule, train new team members, and maintain clean, organized registers that reflect Sprouts' commitment to healthy, community-focused shopping.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day front-end and register operations
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve checkout issues
• Supervise, coach, and support cashiers during shifts
• Ensure accurate cash handling, safe drops, and drawer balancing
• Support store opening and closing procedures as assigned
• Maintain clean, organized checkout lanes and work areas
• Assist with scheduling and shift coverage for front-end staff
• Train and onboard new cashiers to Sprouts standards
• Monitor lines, manage queue flow, and reduce wait times
• Support loss prevention and adherence to store policies
