Deli Clerk

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a part-time Deli Clerk to deliver fast, friendly service in our Quincy, MA club. In this member-focused role, you'll slice, weigh, and package deli meats, cheeses, and prepared foods while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards. You will keep displays stocked and appealing, label products accurately, and operate deli equipment safely. Working in a team-oriented, high-volume environment, you'll build product knowledge, support inventory and rotation, and gain skills that can lead to broader retail and operations opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members at the deli counter, taking and fulfilling orders accurately
• Slice, weigh, price, and package deli meats, cheeses, and prepared foods
• Ensure all deli products are merchandised, rotated, and stocked to standards
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature control procedures
• Operate slicers, scales, and other deli equipment safely
• Prepare simple deli items such as trays, salads, and grab-and-go offerings
• Maintain a clean, organized work area, including counters, cases, and equipment
• Label products correctly with descriptions, ingredients, and use-by dates
• Support inventory counts and report low stock or product issues to supervisors
• Collaborate with team members to meet productivity and member service goals
