Overview

At Applegreen, we refresh travelers on their journey. Applegreen USA operates over 80 travel plazas across the Northeast and Midwest that provide convenience, comfort, retail, and an extensive range of food options.

This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining clean and stocked locations, processing transactions accurately, and preparing and serving quality food to meet the needs of travelers.

• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with travelers.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Adhere to proper food handling procedures, including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperatures.
• Complete kitchen tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain product knowledge and brand standards; follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.
• Cash handling and customer service experience is preferred.

• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, twist, lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, policy documents, and converse with customers.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Regular attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
