We are looking for a Retail Sales Associate who can guide a customer from their first Pinterest-inspired idea all the way to the final day of construction. If you have a background in carpentry, a passion for sales, and the drive to own every project you touch, we want to talk to you.
The Role:
From Inquiry to Installation
As our Retail Sales Associate, you are the face of the brand for our direct customers. You’ll be responsible for transforming inquiries into completed projects (like gazebos and pavilions) through expert technical consultation, proactive lead nurturing, and exceptional relationship management.
What You’ll Do
- Own the Sale: Manage the entire sales lifecycle—preparing technical quotes, following up on proposals, and staying in constant contact with your customers.
- Master the Lead: Take charge of our CRM. You’ll execute weekly email campaigns and nurture leads from our website, retail events, and home shows to ensure no opportunity falls through the cracks.
- Technical Visualization: Use your construction background to help customers "see" their project. You’ll answer design and assembly questions on the fly, ensuring their vision is technically feasible.
- Be the Brand: Represent us at trade shows, open houses, and live events. You’re the high-energy pro who engages prospects and builds excitement.
- Foster Loyalty: The sale doesn’t end at the signature. You’ll follow up post-construction to secure testimonials and build long-term referrals.
What You Bring to the Table
- Carpentry Knowledge: Previous hands-on carpentry experience is required. You need to understand how things are built to sell them effectively.
- The Hunter Mentality: You aren't afraid of the phone. You are self-motivated and energized by outbound calling and lead chasing.
- Communication Prowess: You have exceptional writing and verbal skills. Whether it’s a detailed quote or a thank-you card, your professionalism shines through.
- Grace Under Pressure: You can juggle a ringing phone, a complex quote, and a walk-in customer without losing your cool.
- Tech & Math Savvy: Comfortable with Microsoft Office and CRM software, with the math skills to ensure every measurement and quote is perfect.
Work Environment & Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate home shows and special events.
- Physical Ability: Comfortable standing for long periods at events and able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Location: Based at our HQ with occasional site visits to customer properties.
