Position Overview:
The Account Representative is responsible for supporting Account Managers and Strategic Account Executives in driving sales growth within the biopharma market, specifically focusing on tubing, hose, and single-use systems. This role ensures seamless sales operations by managing processes, providing analytical support, and facilitating efficient account management. By collaborating closely with sales teams, the Account Representative enhances customer experiences and contributes to the growth of existing accounts.
Accurate CRM entry and maintenance are essential for tracking sales activities and generating valuable customer insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Process Management:
- Support Account Managers and Strategic Account Executives with customer account management, including quotations, pricing, and order fulfillment.
- Assist in preparing and processing customer orders, ensuring alignment with production timelines and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and production teams to ensure smooth workflows from order intake to delivery.
- Play an active role in identifying opportunities to grow accounts and increase revenue within the biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector.
- Assist in executing account growth strategies by providing support in customer relationship management, forecasting, and analysis.
- Support the sales team in upselling and cross-selling tubing, hoses, and single-use systems to meet client needs and achieve sales targets.
- Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries related to product availability, order status, lead times, and technical information.
- Track and manage customer accounts, providing timely updates on order progress, changes, or delays.
- Offer product recommendations and technical support to customers based on their specific application needs in biopharma.
- Accurately enter and update customer data, sales interactions, and pipeline activities in the CRM system.
- Ensure all opportunities, leads, and contacts are properly tracked and maintained for future reference and forecasting purposes.
- Generate CRM reports for the sales team, providing insights into customer engagement, sales activities, and progress toward targets.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that all critical customer information is up to date, enabling efficient communication and follow-up.
- Maintain and update customer and sales databases, ensuring accurate records for forecasting and performance analysis.
- Generate regular sales and operational reports, including sales performance, order fulfillment, and inventory levels.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement that align with account growth objectives.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with Account Managers and Key Account Managers to support their sales efforts and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
- Partner with production and supply chain teams to ensure accurate and timely manufacturing and delivery of orders.
- Coordinate with the R&D team to relay customer feedback on tubing, hose, and single-use systems, andhelp develop tailored solutions.
- Assist marketing in implementing promotional campaigns and strategies to drive growth in the biopharma market segment.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities within assigned accounts and help the sales team convert leads into long-term clients.
- Support efforts to grow strategic accounts by developing strong relationships with key customers and understanding their evolving needs.
- Achieve territory-specific sales and profitability quotas.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and foster repeat business through a focus on long-term partnerships.
Provide strategic and operational support to senior leadership on a variety of ad-hoc projects and initiatives related to sales operations, account management, and growth strategies as required.
Requirements
Education/Background:
- Business Degree or similar major preferred, and 3+ years experience in Biopharma Inside Sales preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
