SummaryAs a Commercial Sales Representative, you will be responsible for achieving bookings and recurring revenue quotas, prospecting, presenting products, services and solutions to commercial customers, ensuring documentation for sales agreements and proposals. Commercial representatives will cultivate ongoing business with existing customers and secure new large commercial clients.
What You’ll Do- Sell Vector’s commercial solutions and achieve bookings, recurring revenue and profit margin targets by proactively scheduling sales appointments with current and prospective commercial customers and ensuring offerings meet both Vector and the customer needs.
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge via ongoing training and required certifications. Educate customers about commercial solutions including video, intrusion, access control, and fire alarm systems.
- Continuously generate commercial proposals and maintain a viable pipeline equal to at least four times monthly sales quotas. All proposals are tracked in the company CRM.
- Work closely with commercial system design team and branch operations to ensure proper scope for large commercial installations.
- Create strategies to market products to new consumers, identifying new target market segments/opportunities.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree – preferred. HS diploma – required. - B2B sales experience – required.
- Industry Experience – preferred.
- Prospecting
Skills:
Build new relationships and generate new logos using Linked In, social media, networking, and reports. - Proven success in self‑generation activities.
- Previous Sales Experience Preferred:
Demonstrated success in previous sales positions. - Presentation
Skills:
Ability to present complex integrated solutions common in large commercial environments. - Closing
Skills:
Ability to close commercial proposals at a rate deemed acceptable by management, overcome objections, and have strong negotiation skills. - Valid driver’s license required to drive to customer locations.
