Outside Food Sales Representative

Location:

Pittsburgh, PA.

The Outside Food Sales Representative will cultivate relationships, develop new business, and provide innovative solutions to our customers, helping them to achieve their goals and, in return, yours.

Responsibilities
  • New Customer Acquisition
    • Research industry and market trends impacting restaurants within the territory.
    • Identify and research prospective customers in the territory.
    • Develop and present sales strategies highlighting products, services, values, and solutions.
  • Existing Customer Relationship Management
    • Visit all customers in the territory on a weekly, bi‑weekly, or monthly basis.
    • Conduct business reviews to determine customer needs and opportunities for sales growth.
    • Provide training on product offerings and identify opportunities to add value.
  • Sales Territory Management
    • Balance acquisition of new customers with strengthening existing relationships.
    • Coordinate visits to prospective and existing customers.
    • Communicate order status and processing updates to customers.
Training & Onboarding
  • First 90 days include e‑learning, classroom sessions, video roleplays, job shadowing, and peer mentorship.
  • Training covers GFS systems, product knowledge, new customer engagement, relationship building, and territory management best practices.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required;
    Bachelor’s degree and/or culinary certificate preferred.
  • 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience.
  • Valid state driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification.
