The Inside Sales Assistant position is an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in sales, customer service, architecture and design, and the building materials industry. You'll gain hands‑on experience supporting customers and our sales team while learning our products, processes, and how projects move from initial inquiry through completion. For someone who demonstrates initiative, strong communication, and a desire to grow, this role can provide a pathway toward increased responsibility and future opportunities within Inside Sales, Sales Support, Project Management, Specification Sales, and other areas of the organization.

The Inside Sales Consultant is responsible for developing and closing business within RESAWN’s uncovered sales territories. An uncovered territory is any market in the United States or Canada that is not currently assigned to a Specification Consultant or Independent Sales Representative.
Territory assignments may change as RESAWN expands or adjusts its sales coverage.
The Inside Sales Consultant owns the sales process within assigned markets, from lead qualification and business development through quoting, pipeline management, and closing. Revenue will be generated through a combination of inbound opportunities and proactive, self‑generated business development, with support from the Marketing team.
Success in this role is measured by achievement of revenue goals, effective pipeline development and management, forecast accuracy, key sales activity metrics, and a high level of service to both external customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development- Develop and manage sales opportunities within assigned uncovered territories.
- Qualify inbound leads and determine appropriate project pathways based on project scope, timing, budget, and decision‑making process.
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through outbound prospecting and market research.
- Re‑engage existing customers, prospects, and open opportunities to determine project status and advance actionable next steps.
- Build relationships with architects, designers, builders, installers, dealers, and other relevant project stakeholders.
- Conduct company capabilities and product presentations, both virtually and in person when applicable.
- Conduct approved Continuing Education Unit (CEU) presentations and facilitate applicable AIA credits.
- Represent RESAWN at local industry events, meetings, and other business development opportunities.
- Visit customer offices and project sites when appropriate.
- Maintain an accurate and current sales pipeline in Hub Spot.
- Document customer communications, project information, lead qualification, and next steps in the CRM.
- Consistently advance qualified opportunities through established deal stages.
