Area Manager, Director of Sales
As Regional Sales Manager for the Americas Region, you'll be responsible for driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets within your region. Reporting to the Director, Sales Operations, you'll lead a team of 6 to 10 sales representatives, shape and carry out regional sales strategy, and work closely with cross-functional teams. You'll have guidance only on broad objectives, so you'll have real ownership over how your region gets there.
Whatyou will be doing
- Leading and directing your sales team to hit sales and profit goals, and setting challenging but achievable targets for each rep and for the region as a whole.
- Coaching and mentoring your reps regularly, running performance evaluations, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Building short- and long-term sales strategies tailored to your region by analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
- Partnering with engineering, marketing, product development, and other teams to align sales efforts with company strategy.
- Monitoring sales performance and putting corrective actions in place where needed.
- Cultivating strong relationships with key customers and pursuing new opportunities across the region.
- Negotiating and closing high-value deals, and resolving customer complaints promptly and effectively.
- Providing ongoing training and development for your team.
- Expanding the company's market share and maximizing profitability across the Americas Region.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and building long-term loyalty with key accounts.
- Creating a positive, results-oriented environment that motivates and energizes your team.
- Empowering your reps to make decisions and take ownership of their sales pipelines.
- Recognizing and rewarding individual and team achievements to build a culture of excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (required).
- At least 5 years of sales management experience, with a proven track record of hitting sales targets.
- Extensive knowledge of sales methodologies, strategies, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building rapport and motivating teams.
- Able to travel at least 50% of the time.
