Scientist - Analytical Chemistry - Onsite

Location: West Point

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Scientist - Analytical Chemistry for an Onsite position with a Pharmaceutical Company located in West Point, PA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This is a 100% onsite, lab-based role focused on analytical method development and routine laboratory testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with separation and biochemical methods, particularly HPLC/UPLC, within a biotech or pharmaceutical environment.

The role involves working with potent compounds, data processing, and instrument maintenance. Responsibilities:
Perform analytical method development Conduct routine laboratory testing using separation and biochemical methods Handle data processing, documentation, and reporting Prepare reagents for laboratory use Perform instrument maintenance, tracking, monitoring, troubleshooting, and minor repairs Maintain a safe and clean laboratory environment Prepare documentation, including electronic notebooks Conduct scientific data review Requirements:
Ph.D. degree with 2 years of experience in analytical chemistry, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field OR M.S. degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical Industry OR B.S. degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical Industry Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques such as HPLC/UPLC (including SEC, HIC, IEX, and RP), CE, cIEF, and Simple Western

Experience with Chromatography (HPLC / UPLC – reverse phase and SEC) or CE (Capillary Electrophoresis)

Experience with Empower, 32 Carat, or other laboratory software, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to deliver complex objectives under aggressive timelines Desired skills:

Experience with small molecule API or drug product HPLC/UPLC Knowledge of MALS (Multi-angle light scattering)/RI/UV and CAD detection

Experience with DLS, Zeta Potential, and Electrophoresis Familiarity with Light scattering, UV FLD detectors, and various separation methods (Reverse phase, SEC, CE, HIC) Pay range: up to $72.62 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.
