Outreach Assistant
The Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics is seeking applicants for the part-time job of Outreach Assistant.
Job duties to include:
- Presenting outreach programs to diverse audiences, including planetarium presentations, solar observing, spectroscopy demonstrations, Solar System scale models, and others
- Assisting with development of planetarium programming
- Assisting with coordination and communication with groups requesting planetarium programs
- Developing documentation for outreach programming
- Updating print materials used for outreach
Schedule:
- Expected hours will be approximately 10 hours/week.
Compensation:
The starting rate for this job is $15/hour.
You will stand out if you have experience with teaching and outreach programming for audiences of various ages.
The selected candidate will report to Dr. Chris Palma. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
