As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a college campus location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter security-related incidents. You will engage with students, staff, and visitors through clear communication and customer service, document observations, and support campus operations as needed. You will contribute in an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.95 / Hour

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting concerns, and coordinating with campus contacts and/or public responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, residence hall exteriors, athletic and common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and interior areas as assigned, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for proper closure and reporting maintenance and/or policy issues through established channels.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
