Armed Security Officer
Location:
Belle Vernon, PA
Position Type:
Tuesday to Friday / 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Compensation: $21.00 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a professional and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This position requires a highly dependable individual with strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and a professional presence. Officers are expected to maintain a safe and secure environment while representing our organization with professionalism and integrity.
Responsibilities
* Maintain a secure presence at assigned location
* Deter criminal activity and enforce property policies
* Conduct routine patrols of premises
* Respond promptly and effectively to incidents or emergencies
* Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports
* Coordinate with property management and local authorities when necessary
Requirements
* Current ACT 235 Certification (Pennsylvania Lethal Weapons Training Act)
* Valid Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms
* Personal firearm
* Duty belt and required armed gear
* Reliable transportation
* Prior armed security experience required
* Strong communication and report-writing skills
* Professional appearance and demeanor
* Ability to stand and/or patrol for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in residential, commercial, or high-end property security
* Military or law enforcement background (preferred but not required)

License to Carry a Firearm
Personal firearm ownership
