Looking for a meaningful armed security position with consistent hours, competitive pay, and the opportunity to make a positive impact?
KRE Security, LLC is hiring professional, dependable ACT 235-certified Armed Security Officers for a school district assignment in Perry County. In this role, you will help maintain a safe, welcoming environment while building positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
Compensation & Benefits- Starting pay: $22.00 per hour
- Additional $0.25 per hour for military veterans and active‑duty service members
- Overtime paid for hours worked over 40 per week in accordance with applicable law
- Academic-year schedule beginning September 2026
- Health benefits available to eligible full‑time employees averaging 30+ hours per week after 90 days
- Up to 40 hours of paid time off, with accrual beginning after completion of the probationary period
- Company vehicle provided while working
- Opportunities to earn additional hours at after‑school events
- Maintain a visible, professional armed security presence
- Patrol school property and monitor entrances, access points, and surrounding areas
- Identify and report safety or security concerns
- Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
- Enforce district policies, post orders, and site procedures
- Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports using Belfry Software
- Communicate effectively with school personnel, supervisors, and fellow officers
- Build respectful, professional relationships with students, staff, and families
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Current Pennsylvania ACT 235 certification and valid concealed carry permit
- Level II or Level III retention holster
- Must obtain KRE’s in‑house Phazzer certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the client site
- Strong communication, observation, and problem‑solving skills
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work in various environments
- Flexible availability for occasional after‑school events
- Previous security, military, law enforcement, or school‑security experience is preferred but not required
- Must attend an in‑person orientation before being scheduled
