This position serves as a Lieutenant who oversees staff and daily operations to ensure security and proper inmate supervision. The role involves leadership, coordination, and problem solving across multiple areas. As a Corrections Officer 3, you will perform the following duties:

• Staff Supervision: Guide and direct subordinate officers to maintain proper care, custody, and control of inmates
• Daily Operations: Conduct housing unit tours and coordinate schedules and facility activities across security, movement, and service areas
• Inmate Monitoring: Observe inmate behavior, address concerns, and document incidents and activities
• Transport Processing: Oversee inmate transports, visitor searches, and vehicle inspections for safety and compliance
• Policy Enforcement: Investigate staff issues, participate in discipline procedures, and address grievances
• Crisis Response: Act in emergency situations to maintain order and follow established procedures

• Full‑time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours to be determined, with set days off to be determined.

• One year as a Corrections Officer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of experience in corrections security work in a Pennsylvania state or county corrections facility. (

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
