Position: Supervisory Information Technology Cybersecurity Specialist (Pol with Security Clearance

Duties
* Develop and implement policies, procedural standards, and architectures for assigned IT systems.
* Ensure optimal system operation and service quality during the integration of new technologies.
* Advise senior leadership on mission-critical cybersecurity issues and proposed resolutions.
* Formulate and defend budget requirements for the organization's IT resources and training.
* Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates and evaluate their overall performance. Requirements Conditions of employment
* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
* The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
* This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
* This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
* Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
* Incumbent must obtain and maintain the appropriate baseline certification IAW DoD 8570.1M within six months of being assigned to this position.
* This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
* Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11. Qualifications Who May Apply:

2) Assessing cybersecurity vulnerabilities or incidents to determine operational impact and directing risk mitigation actions; AND
3) Leading a team or project in planning, prioritizing, and executing IT or cyber-security related tasks. Your specialized experience must demonstrate each of the following four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail
- Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: leading others by setting the standards for the quality of work, even in the most difficult and/or high pressure circumstances; reviewing and editing work completed by others to ensure that the quality of work meets acceptable work standards; (2) Customer Service
- Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services;
