As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Operations in Cheyney, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
You will use communication and computer or tablet skills to support daily operations while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.
Part Time Pay Rate: $17.95 / Hour Job Schedule
- Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate campus personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
