Armed and Unarmed Security Officers No Exceptions

Screening Requirement:
To be considered for an interview, all applicants must complete the required screener. Incomplete applications will not move forward.

United Protection & Security Service (UPSS) is seeking professional, mature, and dependable Armed and Unarmed Security Officers to join our growing team. We provide security services for a wide range of locations, including schools, churches/places of worship, apartment complexes, construction sites, corporate offices, residential communities, and more.

We are looking for officers who take pride in their work, follow protocol, and represent UPSS with professionalism at all times.

Security Officers will be assigned to various job sites depending on company and client needs. Officers must be flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different environments and expectations.

Shifts may include:

• Day Shift
• Mid Shift
• Overnight
• Weekends
• Holidays
• Emergency or last-minute coverage

Patrol and secure buildings, grounds, and parking areas

Monitor activity to ensure the safety of property, staff, and visitors

Enforce site-specific policies and procedures

Manage access control and visitor check-ins

Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies

Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs

Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and presence

Follow all UPSS policies, procedures, and expectations

Follow all post orders and client-specific instructions for each site

Work effectively as part of a team and support fellow officers and supervisors

Must be 21 years of age or older

At least 2 years of verifiable security, law enforcement, or related experience

Reliable and responsible - must consistently show up on time and ready to work

Open availability - must be able to work any shift as needed

Reliable transportation to travel between multiple job sites

Valid, up-to-date government-issued  (Driver’s License preferred)

If Armed (ACT 235):

• Must have a valid, current ACT 235 certification
• Must have your own duty gear (firearm, duty belt, holster, etc.)

Must pass:

• Background check
• Child Abuse Clearance (if required by site)
• Drug screening

Strong communication and customer‑service skills

High attention to detail and situational awareness

Ability to follow direction and maintain professionalism

Ability to work well as part of a team

Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended period

• Prior experience in high‑visibility or multi‑site security roles
• Mature, calm, and composed under pressure
• Strong judgment, integrity, and reliability
• Ability to adapt quickly to different environments and client needs
