Electrician

Position: Electrician 1

Summary

Please note:

This position requires out of town work.

Responsible for electrical installations, preventative maintenance, and general service for our customers' dust collection and related equipment.

Responsibilities

* Assist with installing projects at our customers' facilities using resources provided

* Minor rigging responsibilities

* Able to read mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics

* Use of hand tools and portable power equipment

* Use of electrical meter and other monitoring equipment

* Ability to work from heights (ladders, lift equipment, roofs, silos, etc.)

* Ability to work in the elements (excessive heat, rain, snow, etc.)

* Must be able to wear a respirator per manufacturers' recommendations

* Perform filter changes on our customers' dust collectors

* Responsible to work safely and ensure co-workers and other person(s) in the immediate area are working safely

* Respect our customers' policies and job site rules

* Assist in solving problems and roadblocks when presented while maintaining a positive attitude

* Attend training courses as deemed necessary

* Available to work additional shifts and weekends as necessary

* Maintain a professional image

* Maintain company vehicles as specified (e.g., fuel levels, oil changes, general maintenance, etc.)

* Maintain up-to-date and completed paperwork

* Assist other departments within the company

* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Related on-the-job experience or schooling

* Mobility and flexibility in traveling to customer locations within a five-state radius, including overnight stays for weeks at a time

* Ability to overcome stressful situations to identify and solve problems in the field

* Strong communication skills and professional etiquette

* Maintain a valid driver's license
