Under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent, the Mechanic works in repairing and maintaining various gasoline and diesel-powered golf course maintenance equipment.

• Communicating maintenance or repair needs.
• Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical defects in equipment such as trenchers, rollers, mowers, cart fleet, sprayers, and other mechanical tools.
• Prioritizing repair and maintenance work with the Superintendent.
• Effectively communicating with all levels of staff and external contacts.
• Training maintenance workers on preventative maintenance, cleaning, and safety procedures.
• Maintaining preventative maintenance schedules and repair records.
• Ensuring quality of cut on all equipment used on the golf course.
• Undertaking fabrication, welding, troubleshooting, and repairs to hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Maintaining inventory of parts.
• Inspecting equipment daily on and off the course.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Experience in equipment repair.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to repair and maintain all golf course equipment and respond effectively in emergencies.
• Maintain a clean work environment and cooperative relations with colleagues.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, walk, use hands, and lift up to 50 lbs.
