Job Introduction
Graymont is hiring an electrician at its Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania location.

United States - PA - Pleasant Gap

• Job applicants must pass a comprehensive written and hands-on test.
• Have a certificate of completion indicating a minimum of two years of schooling on industrial electricity or proof of equivalent work experience.
• Read, understand, troubleshoot, and perform electrical work from electrical schematics.
• Be capable of performing the duties of an Electrician “B” to the fullest extent, including:
• AC motor control circuits
• DC motors and controls
• Variable Frequency Drives
• Soft start AC drives
• Experience with 110 Vac, 480 Vac, and 4160 Vac
• Zero speed switches, motion detectors, level controls, shunts, current transformers, and related input devices used for control
• Perform substation maintenance work including transformer connections, voltage tap changing, switch gear, overcurrent relays, dash pots, demand meters, and cleaning gear
• Be familiar with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and using a laptop for troubleshooting
• Perform ground tests and maintain a good grounding system
• Understand all electrical systems and maintain them in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the current National Electrical Code
• Perform minor cutting and carpentry work as related to electrical tasks
• Operate all job-related equipment
• Provide tools up to ½ inch drive socket and wrenches up to 1 ¼ inches
• Conduit installations in a neat and professional manner, including cutting and chasing threads
• Work from wiring diagrams, sketches, catalogs, and parts lists
• Mark up drawings for new installations (creating marked up “AS BUILT” prints)
• Inspect equipment that has failed, diagnose the problem, and implement a safe repair procedure to restore production promptly
• Maintain a current PA driver’s license
• Work with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work overtime, including emergencies
• Follow safety rules, good housekeeping, and cleanup procedures on all jobs
• Perform other work as assigned by supervisor
• Conform to company work rules and MSHA regulations pertaining to each task
• Report promptly anything requiring attention to your supervisor
• Work in a safe manner and follow all safety rules, plant-specific
