Heavy Equipment Field Technician at our Case Power and Equipment of PA dealership in Delmont, PA
.
- Perform comprehensive inspections
- Remove and install parts
- Implement optional accessories
- Maintain equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot basic issues
- Conduct testing
- Carry out general repairs
- Keep service truck in working order
- Manage inventory of onboard parts
- Apply Alta's Guiding Principles in daily work
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and start work on time
- Three years of heavy equipment or over‑road repair experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and solid understanding of engine, power train, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Own set of tools
- Positive attitude and high energy
- Computer proficiency – Microsoft Outlook, Case/New Holland EST experience
- Intermediate reading, writing and verbal communication skills for safety rules, maintenance manuals, and customer correspondence
- Basic mathematical skills for calculations involving money, weight, volume, and distance
- Reasoning ability – apply common sense to follow written, oral or diagram instructions and solve standardized problems
- Stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly
- Lift up to 25 pounds regularly; 26–50 pounds frequently; 51–100 pounds occasionally
- Operate near moving mechanical parts; exposed to fumes, airborne particles, weather conditions, extreme heat or cold; occasional wet or humid conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration
