Installation Technician, Field/Service Technician
Location: Bridgeville
Convergint is looking for a full‑time, enthusiastic, results‑driven and forward‑thinking Field Project Manager to join our culture. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, programming, system start‑up/check‑out, certification, and related customer training on assigned Fire, Security, and/or Building Automation projects. You will work with management and the project team to ensure projects are delivered within scope, budget, and time schedules.

What You’ll Do- Oversee overall site management of projects for successful and timely completion within budget and scope.
- Work with the Project Coordinator to prepare installation plans and implement job procedures.
- Supervise Project Specialists, Installers and subcontractors in the field.
- Co‑ordinate and supervise subcontractors, directing on‐site activities and verifying quality assurance standards.
- Assist in overall coordination of projects; recommend potential changes in scope and identify ways to improve customer satisfaction.
- Identify potential project risks, communicate to appropriate parties, and develop strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from cost and schedule estimates.
- Ensure overall quality of the installation in accordance with national and local codes, and company standards.
- Install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm & life safety, and building automation systems. Provide technical support and training to the customer.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
- Exceptional customer focus; ability to work under pressure and meet customer needs without prompting.
- Strong supervision skills and installation experience with building automation, fire alarm, and/or electronic security systems.
- Field supervision experience and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and find solutions.
- Self‑starter, works well without supervision.
- Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to read blueprints and perform calculations.
- Frequent job‑site visits; minimal overnight travel; valid driver’s license.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Advanced organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications.

- Education:
College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience. - Minimum experience:
5‑7 years relevant. - Preferred experience:
Experience in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation industries, or a college degree in Electronics.
